I cannot believe that it has almost been a month since I last blogged! Time really does fly when you're having fun! So far, senior year has been absolutely fabulous! I've had very little homework and lots of fun. I've already made such happy memories. I made a list of some of the exciting things that have been happening lately:

- Poolside. I have spent plenty of time relaxing by the pool this semester! Kristen and I don't have Friday class and we have had our Thursday classes canceled several times, which means fun in the sun. Our goal is to keep our tans as long as we can!
- Football. It's officially football time in Oklahoma! Our first three games were at home. We have had a blast tailgating and walking around Campus Corner. It was miserably hot for the first two, but that just added to the fun! Brandon brought his newest roommate, Cyril, to the first game. Cyril is from Switzerland so he had never been to a football game before!
- Hockey. The crazy fun hockey season has begun! At the beginning of last year, I was a little skeptical about Brandon having practice three days a week and games on Friday and Saturday nights. Now, I can't imagine it any other way. I have loved attempting to learn about hockey!
- Apple. Lately, technology has been the apple of my eye! Get it? The most recent changes in my life all have to do with Apple devices! My Mass Communication Law class gave us mini iPads to use for the semester. We use our iPads to listen to a podcast instead of attending class. I'm also really excited about the release of the new iPhone! I have been trying to decide if I am going to get a 5s or a 5c. I think I have limited it down to the gold or silver 5s but I haven't completely ruled out the white 5c! Decisions, decisions! In the meantime, I am getting used to iOS7 on my iPhone 4! So far, I like it!
- Cooking. I've been cooking lots of yummy dinners and sweet treats with Kristen and Brandon! Kristen and I made breakfast for dinner last Sunday then used the bacon for BLTs and a fresh salad. Bran and I have tried a couple of different Pinterest recipes. We made some delicious pancake dippers by putting bacon inside of pancakes and we made a smores dip that was amazing! Bran and Siggy declared Thursdays as "Taco Thursday" so I have been contributing by making queso and buying salsa and sopapillas!
- Volunteering. Kelsey, Kristen and I have been doing hospitality at Lifestream, the college worship service that we attend. We have been helping to set out the snacks about 30 minutes prior to the service. We have also been volunteering in the 4-year-old class at church on Sunday mornings. During the first week, we had about eight calm children. The next week, we had 15 crazy kids! They were climbing out of the window, hiding under the table, crying for their mom, fighting over toys, etc. We were exhausted, but we had a blast!
- Stuffy Noses. Kristen and I got really bad colds! We were both sick for almost two weeks. At the end of my cold, I got a bloody nose! I couldn't believe it! I didn't go to the TU vs. OU game because I was afraid somebody would think I got into a fight!
- Momma. I have gotten to see my mom every weekend since school started! My mom has been down for all of the home games and for a day of shopping! She has made her signature breakfast casserole and tons of pre-game food! She really is the best.
- Home Sweet Home. Last weekend, Kristen and I went to Tulsa. We were busy from the moment that we got there until the moment that we left! On Saturday, we were able to have a full day with my 2-year-old cousin, Grant. We covered the living room with toys and spent lots of time at the park. On Sunday, we visited the fire station with my mom's Sunday school class before touring old homes in downtown Tulsa.
My senior year has been perfect! I am truly surrounded by the best of friends. Blessed and happy are understatements!
I am so thankful.
