2021 Wrap Up
I can't believe 2021 is over! We're already making memories in the new year, but the last couple of months were too good not to post.
1, 2 Many: another rescheduled concert from 2020. We mentioned to our lake pals, Kenneth and Terra, that we were going to see Luke Combs. She asked if we wanted to sell our tickets and sit in her work's platinum seats. Duh!
Thankful + Grateful: we spent Thanksgiving in KC with this fun crew. Despite Virginia having the craziest leg rash anyone has ever seen, we had lots of laughs picking out her Christmas tree and buying a new mattress from the Value Zone at Mattress Firm (iykyk). I hate to say it, but OU lost Bedlam. Neighbor Mary was trying to figure out what was on the back of my shirt - Boomer Sooner!
Tulsa Time: we celebrated the holidays with KJ between Thanksgiving and Christmas. As always, we spent lots of time laughing, shopping and hanging out with fam. On Friday night, Georgia was in a parade. The three of us "big cousins" had way too much fun - it was like being a kid again! Candy and all. When Georgia's dance troop came by, KJ and I chased after her cheering her on. Total dance mom move. Ha! We also hung out with baby Justin and learned he's going to be a big brother!
Merry & Bright: these are [sadly] the only photos we got this Christmas. I love this candid shot Sam got of Taylor and me spending time with our Mimi though. After festivities with my family, Sam headed to KC for a Chiefs victory. Although you can't tell from his pics, it was in the 80s on Christmas day!
New Year, New Boat: despite Sam being in the captain's chair, this is actually the neighbor's new boat. Ha! We had a NYE happy hour complete with a charcuterie spread to say bye to 2021!
Excited to see what 2022 bring us (hopefully less pandemic life and more gatherings, travel and good health)!
xo, KD
