New Years in NOLA

New Years 2023 // NOLA

We defied all odds by flying Southwest and making it to our destination. SWA canceled a majority of their flights leading up to Christmas and the days after, but we had no problems making it to New Orleans!

This was my fourth K State game of 2022 and the first L. The Wildcats couldn't quite pull off a Sugar Bowl victory against Alabama.

We landed in soggy NOLA and headed to lunch at Acme Oyster House.

The rain cleared for the purple parade.

Wishing his father-in-law happy birthday from dinner at Pêche.

In Tulsa at Christmas, Debbie and Fred noticed Sam's Chiefs hat when we were out to dinner. We got to chatting, and they said they were headed to watch K State in the Sugar Bowl. We said, "so are we!" and exchanged numbers. We met up for drinks in NOLA.

Despite their 45 year age gap, these two were quick friends.

K State Alumni breakfast... these people go nuts for Willy the Wildcat!

27 weeks! I matched the pregnant emoji ha! Strangers are starting to notice my baby bump. Someone asked if a little wildcat was on the way. Sam quickly told them half of one and that I went to OU. Boomer! A Southwest gate agent also noticed and upgraded me to pre-board.

What a season to cheer for the Wildcats!

Ended the weekend where we started it!

We spent the day at The National WWII Museum before flying home.
