Thanksgiving 2023 // Kansas City

AJ's First Thanksgiving: we are extra grateful this year! Virginia bought that turkey decoration for her classroom in the 70s.

Sunflower Showdown: Before AJ and I flew in, Virginia drove these two to Lawrence in the Audi for the KSU vs. KU game. Cats won 31-27.

Family Reunion Game: Virginia and Sam went to the game in the rain. Sadly, Eagles won 21-17.

Big Cousins + Baking: we made lots of cookies. Grammi melted the butter in the first batch, and they didn't turn out right so we redid them (twice). Ha! We also spent an afternoon visiting with the Schnepfs and eating Joe's BBQ.

Ace Hardware Tree: Grammi and Sam went to see Zella at work and got the tree. Fantastic experience, they said!

White Christmas: we celebrated early, and it snowed! It was also a week full of dog sitting- first the Milroy doggies on Thanksgiving then Wilson and Maggie over the weekend.
