I'm A Blogger
I fought myself as long as I could... I finally started a blog. I started this blog for some extra credit last semester. I am leaving my original post up just for giggles. Not only do I find it funny that I chose the most cliché public relations topic ever but the best part is my teacher wrote, "These are the same things professors tell students. Why would we listen to you?" I was offended but I can't say that I don't agree with him!
Towards the end of May, I began interning for The Brides of Oklahoma Magazine. One of my main tasks was to write a three-sentence blogpost about engagements, bridals and weddings. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. So Wrong. I would spend half of my day trying to write three sentences! The hardest part for me was switching from my formal writing style that I had been using in school to writing sentences such as "Filled with smiles, laughs, and kisses, Ashley and Evan's simple and sweet wedding has us smitten!" To fix this formal/informal writing problem, I began researching blogs. I really wanted to start my own but until now, I just never got around to it. I wish I would have started blogging the moment I thought of it! I began fixing up my "extra credit blog" and I absolutely fell in love. I can barely stay focused at work! To be honest, after I finished adding gadgets and editing the layout, I spent hours staring at it. I'm beyond excited! I just hope that I spend as much time writing as I have staring!
I'm going to focus on a little bit of everything that I love! You can expect to read lots about my sister, best friend and boyfriend with a splash of public relations and a dash of girly stuff like nail polish and new clothes!
