It has been a couple of days since the weekend but because I only work Tuesday through Thursday, my weekend doesn't technically end until Monday night! Summer started out slow for me but lately my weekends have been busier than ever. And I have absolutely loved every moment! This weekend was definitely one of my favorites. My boyfriend, Brandon, and I left Norman/OKC/Edmond to go to Tulsa on Thursday evening and didn't head back to Central Oklahoma until Monday night.
Friday was probably my favorite day! We spent the day with my family, which means lots of love and laughs! Brandon and I drove straight to Ron's Hamburgers on Thursday evening to eat dinner with my family and to pick up my baby cousin, Grant. He stayed the night with us on Thursday then we had a super busy, super fun day on Friday. We started with a wagon ride then headed to Grant's swim lessons followed by lunch with his Grammy D. We stopped by Mimi's before heading to two different splash pads and the park. Grant is almost 2 and he is hilarious! We ended our fun-filled day with dinner at Celebrity Club. Since Kelsey Jo will be back at school next weekend, we celebrated her birthday a week early!
Saturday was an absolute blast! Kelsey's friend, Ronnie, took all of us to the lake. We spent the entire day on the water - too much fun!
Sunday was much more relaxing but no less exciting than the previous days! After church, Kelsey and I hung out around the house while Ronnie and Brandon golfed. Brandon and I went to see Grown Ups 2 in the evening. I'm not a big movie person but I always love a big bucket of popcorn and a large pop! The movie was pretty funny too!
Monday was a very relaxing day. After sleeping in, we headed to the pool. I jumped off of the diving board for the first time this summer. I never knew Brandon could do tricks! He was doing all kinds of flips off of the diving board. It's been awhile since I last flipped but seeing him flip triggered the cheerleader in me! That evening, Brandon suggested that we jump on the trampoline. I forgot how long it had been since I had stretched or jumped or tumbled! I definitely think I pulled a muscle. Before heading back to school, we ate a delicious home cooked meal! On a side note, the royal baby made his arrival today!
I hope your weekend was wonderful! I'm already looking forward to the next!
