A Year in Review: 2013
2013 has had its ups and downs but overall, it has been a good year!
January means a new year and another year older for several of my cousins and aunts! We rang in the new year at Brandon's apartment in Edmond and we celebrated all of the birthdays by having a party at Mimi's house!
February was frigid but fun! We celebrated Kristen's 21st birthday, had our hearts divided during the UCO vs. OU hockey games, and hosted a couple of dinners, including a mini Super Bowl party!
March brought on the madness - Spring Break, Brandon's 21st birthday, and Easter!
April showers brought more than just May flowers! Kristen and I ran from our third floor apartment to our neighbor's first floor apartment when we heard the tornado sirens going off! Although the sirens were a false alarm, the streets of Norman had seriously flooded! Despite all of the rain, I still managed to celebrate Mom's Day at OU, have a blast at our date party, and attend the hockey banquet!
May meant manis and pedis for Mother's Day and celebrating no more school!
June was Julie's birthday! We celebrated my mom's special day several times - In Norman, we helped with tornado relief followed by a girls night out and in Tulsa, we enjoyed a fun birthday dinner with the family! We also celebrated Father's Day in June by having a big pool party! Since Bran and I were busy interning and working this summer, we would often meet for lunch at Lake Hefner on Bran's days off!
July provided us with too much fun in the sun! Lake days and pool days were the best days, especially when Grant was with us!
September always means it is football time in Oklahoma!
October was spooky fun! We had three huge football games: TCU vs. OU in Norman, OU vs. Texas in Dallas, and the Texas Tech vs. OU Homecoming game! After all of the game day fun, we celebrated Halloween! I loved my costume so much that I dressed up three different times! I also celebrated my 21st birthday for the second time (I'm never turning 22+ years old)!
November reminded me of how thankful I am for my big family! And Kristen and I attended our last OU football game as students - goodbye to inexpensive tickets!
December is always the time to celebrate the birth of our Savior!
