hello spring
I love spring. It's such an exciting time. We have been extra busy this year. We kicked off the crazy with our trip to Key Largo. We landed 24 hours before one of my biggest work events of the year, the White Party.
About the time the White Party was wrapping up, Sam's mom was landing in Dallas to celebrate Easter with us. We went to the lake for the weekend. Patrick, Erica and her mom met us there. The weather was beautiful! We got to relax and take the boat out. Sam, Patrick and Erica wake surfed. Brr.
On Easter, we went to church with the neighbors, Debbie and Mike. We were expecting a small-town-Texas church. That is not what we got! They go to a mega church in Athens, TX. We're talking thousands of folks!
Next up: half marathon in OKC. We hung out by the pool, went to the art show then had dinner. The race was great! My overall time was 1:46, which is 8 minutes faster than last year. I was over-the-moon happy.
Sunday after the race, we went to church then to Kendra Scott. I had a gift certificate from the TAG Derby auction for a KS Color Bar Party for five guests. Caytlin and her roommate joined mom, KJ and me to create a piece of jewelry. It was so fun!
Sam's birthday is May 10. A group of his friends came to the lake to celebrate. Saturday's weather was gloomy, but it cleared up Sunday. Sam and I did chores and took the bass boat and Sea-Doos out.
With all of these events shared, I'm finally all caught up on blog posts! This is the most exciting thing that I've shared yet!
I do have more exciting news though. KJ and I are headed to Europe for 10 days! We leave this week, and we are so incredibly excited! So many pics and posts to follow.
