Ken's Lens: February 2020
This month brought lots of trips and travels!
Captured:
Super Bowl Weekend: Go Chiefs! Sam fulfilled his lifetime dream of watching the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. I spent the weekend in Oklahoma. First in Tulsa doing wedding prep with mom and KJ then we headed to OKC. Of course, we kicked off the weekend with the whole fam at Grant's basketball game. It was also Georgia's 5th birthday! On Sunday, Mary hosted KJ's friends for a Super Bowl party. Prior to the party, Kelsey and I spent most of the day trying to make a new wick for her candle. String burned way too fast, but a birthday candle did the trick!
Texas REALTORS® Winter Meeting: a weekend in Austin at a work conference means staring out the window at the sunshine. Luckily in the evenings, I got out for dinner and drinks.
Mark & Laura's Wedding: such a fun wedding weekend in St. Louis! When Sam gets around his high school friends, he gets very "riled up" (his words, not mine), but they really are a great group.
Sunshine & Snow: the weather was all over the place in February. One day, we had 70° temps, and the next, a light dusting of snow at the lake.
I Voted!: I [finally] got a Texas driver's license, which meant I got to go to the polls for the first time. Don't worry... I've been exercising my right to vote via absentee ballot in Oklahoma.
Not Captured:
Washington D.C.: see my last post.
Margs with Kristen: we met for drinks twice. The first time, we managed to close down the restaurant. We just had so much to talk about! The next time, we celebrated her birthday!
