#WeddingSeason
Wedding season was in full force in September! We had out-of-town weddings three weekends in a row.
Kansas City for Harrison + Meredith: we celebrated them last summer in a private ceremony and got to do it all over again with more of their friends and family. Sam finally got to give his speech for a full audience. This was my first Thursday evening ceremony! The next day, Sam golfed and Virginia was substitute teaching, but I managed to find the infamous Lancer Day Parade. The parade circles through town and ends with a pep rally in The Village to kick off football season at Sam's alma mater.
Tulsa for Jordan + Becca: next up was KJ's childhood bestie. KJ's bridesmaid duty was to pick up Becca's dress and take it to the venue. Precious cargo in the pink bag! My mom was a nervous wreck driving with her dress just hours before the ceremony. Ha! This weekend was good for all three of our souls. After the wedding, we managed to stay up until 2 a.m. chatting and laughing in my mom's kitchen.
Crested Butte for Matt + Kate: another I do redo! We had the perfect little getaway weekend. The mountain backdrop was simply stunning, and we love Matt and Kate's friends! The fun started the second we landed - the tiny Montrose airport was having an airshow! We had no idea, but being the airshow connoisseur Sam is, of course, we walked around. It was weird being in KJ and Brett's favorite place without them, BUT I managed to run into their wedding photographer [almost literally] in the bathroom at the after party! We screamed and ran to Sam then Sarah met several of my in-laws. Ha!
Not a Wedding! The only weekend we weren't at a wedding, we went to Brooks & Dunn // Travis Tritt. Great show - Sam thinks it was the best concert he's ever been to!
