The day wasn’t that much different than a typical Saturday at the lake. Sam golfed in the morning, and I worked out and ran a couple of errands. We spent the afternoon at Party Cove and ate dinner on the water.
We were relaxed all day. There was so much freedom in not having to worry about a tight timeline or guests or vendors or anything else wedding related. We didn’t get off the water until almost 7 o’clock, and we were supposed to be ready at 7:45. I got ready for my wedding in less than an hour and was perfectly content with that.
Our ceremony was dreamier than I could have ever imagined. The sunset was perfectly painted with blush and blue–our wedding colors. "I Do" was followed by a surprise champagne toast.
As we arrived home as Mr. and Mrs., the neighbors gathered to cheer and watch a firework show courtesy of my groom. Calls, texts and gifts from friends and family warmed our hearts all weekend!
